About the Upper Cumberland Investment Alliance (UCIA)
The Upper Cumberland Investment Alliance (UCIA) is a private investment fund formed to positively impact the greater Upper Cumberland Tennessee Region, defined as within 50 miles of Cookeville, Tennessee, and the adjacent and nearby counties. The mission of UCIA is to support the development of sustainable, profitable businesses capable of providing a return to member investors, to serve as a catalyst to connect resources across the region, and to enhance the wealth creation of the people employed by the companies that receive investment from UCIA. The fund is led, designed, and funded by local investors, who assist in identifying, evaluating, and placing private investments into a wide variety of businesses across industries and stages of development. The fund will directly increase the economic growth and performance of the greater Upper Cumberland Tennessee Region and will collectively improve the economic sustainability and prosperity of its residents. The Appalachian Investors Alliance (AIA) is the technical advisor that facilitated the fund formation and which now administers the fund.
